In AgilePoint NX v8.0, we started a journey to redesign the entire platform’s UI and UX from scratch. Release v8.0 SU1 marks the culmination of this fantastic journey. Today, I am very pleased to bring to you the upgraded Page Designer and Data Entity experience.

We prioritized upgrading the Page Builder and Data Entities modules towards the end since these modules are fairly new compared with other modules, which were built many years ago. The first component of the Page Builder module is the home page of this module. In release v8.0, only a part of this page was redesigned as per the new UX/UI guidelines. As you can observe, that the completed page is having a modern and refreshing look and feel, keeping pace with the rest of the modules in the platform. You can also observe that dashboard has undergone a few tweaks.

The Page Designer itself has undergone a full UI refresh. The toolbars now match with toolbars in the rest of the platform. While the basic structure of the page still stays the same, minor tweaks have been done to improve the usability. The Portal Menu Designer also has undergone UI revamp. The library page has been made visually very attractive. Both on this page and trash page, the components (CSS, images, JS, and menu) can be easily identified.

Moving on to Data Entity, you can observe that the home page of this module is more colorful and aligned with the UI theme of the rest of the product. This includes the font, coloring, styling and spacing between elements.

The data entities page’s the look and feel is now aligned with other modules. Inside the entity page, the layout has been upgraded to a modern feel. The picklist page, as with the entity page has undergone the UI refresh on similar lines. Minor UI refresh has also been applied on the security page as well to match the tile styles throughout the rest of the product.
