AgilePoint’s latest iteration of its business process management suite, AgilePoint NX, is a low-code application Platform as a Service (aPaaS). AgilePoint NX is in soft launch as of January 2015, and has an entirely new look and feel. Major changes and additions have been made to the product’s App Builder, Forms designer, and front-end, which is now fully integrated. Also, new deployment options are available.
AgilePoint NX has an entirely new forms designer, offering all the power and sophistication of the old one with an improved look, feel, and interface, which together make the creation of anything from simple forms to complex, intelligent, tabbed forms much easier and faster to build. Likewise, NX’s new forms designer enables you to create a single form and to visualize how it will look on different types of devices, allowing you to then configure it for use on desktop machines, tablets, and smart phones by adding, deleting, or resizing fields, controls, and graphics.
AgilePoint NX has an integrated front-end (in contrast to the discrete, component-based front-end in V5), which allows for configurable access for groups of users including role definitions and permissions. Among the advantages of the integrated front-end is portable task management—the ability to access the NX Work Center from within any NX app embedded in any other application, such as SharePoint, Salesforce, etc. Likewise, the integrated front end affords access to the NX Management console and Reports generator within embedded apps. This integrated front-end is meant to enable 3rd-party solution providers to create NX-based SaaS applications for their customers.
AgilePoint NX allows for self provisioning of new tenants and can be deployed on premises or in either a private cloud or as a SaaS application (NXone). AgilePoint Server now includes multi-tenant support.
